Overlord L'Orange: Observations of an Average Citizen, Installment #25

Happy Valentine's Day!

Grant Stern writes for Occupy Democrats: "Republicans just gave the worst excuse for not investigating L'Orange and Flynn." And: "...But Republican House Intelligence Committee Chair David Nunes said Tuesday that his committee won’t look into conversations between L'Orange and Flynn, according to CNN’s Manu Raju. Nunes cited executive privilege — a privilege typically claimed by the president for withholding information in the public interest. [Emphasis ours]"

Zach Cartwright writes for U.S. Uncut: "Putin just trolled the Hell out of L'Orange in the scariest way possible." And: "President L'Orange is in a very awkward position, as Vladimir Putin just violated a 30-year-old treaty aimed at easing tension with the United States."

"The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the Russian Federation deployed a new cruise missile in secret, which flies in the face of the 1987 Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, signed at the end of the Cold War by both Russia and the U.S. The treaty bans either country from testing land-based, intermediate-ranged missiles. The illegal missile, dubbed as the SSC-8 (dubbed 9M728 by Russia), was first tested in 2014, prompting former President Barack Obama to call out Russian president Vladimir Putin for violating the treaty. Russia now has two battalions of the deadly missile."

Colin Taylor writes for Occupy Democrats: "L'Orange just gave a terrifying response to Flynn's resignation (TWEET)."
Brett Bose writes for Occupy Democrats: "K.A. Conwoman just humiliated herself and the L'Orange team live on The Today Show." And: "Lauer made the point that yesterday afternoon Conwoman was telling the media that Flynn had L'Orange's full support, which he clearly didn’t considering he resigned shortly thereafter. Lauer then asked: 'So had he not resigned the president would have continued with him as National Security Advisor even though he misled the Vice President and the administration about the contents of that call?'"

"Conwoman replied that 'that fact is what became unsustainable…I think misleading the Vice President really was the key here.' This is when Lauer pounced, telling Conwoman bluntly:
'So wait a minute – you’re saying that was the straw that broke the camel’s back but the White House knew about that last month when the Justice Department warned the White House that Mr. Flynn…had not been completely honest in characterizing that conversation with the Russian Ambassador. They even went further to say as a result of that dishonesty, he was at risk of blackmailing by the Russians.'"

"Conwoman responded weakly, saying 'that’s one characterization but the fact is that General Flynn continued in that position and was in the presidential daily briefings, was part of the leader calls, as recently as yesterday.' Conwoman was incredulous in her answers, not fully grasping that Flynn’s very presence in the White House is what was causing so much controversy. That’s when Lauer dropped the bombshell: 'Kellyanne, that makes no sense!'"

Brett Bose writes for Occupy Democrats: "Flynn's resignation letter just implied L'Orange was aware of his treason." And: "If L'Orange never asked Flynn about these conversations then there is only one real conclusion that can be drawn: L'Orange already knew, because he has been ordering Flynn to make the calls. Flynn’s resignation letter is a tacit admission that the President of the United States has an inappropriate relationship with the Russian government."

"The implications of this are enormous. This is possibly the largest tremor so far in an already crumbling administration. If it can be proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that L'Orange ordered these calls to be made then the case for impeachment will grow even stronger. This could turn out to be the shortest presidency in American history!"

Natalie Dickinson writes for Occupy Democrats: "In viral post, Dan Rather says L'Orange-Flynn scandal could be 'Larger than Watergate.'" And: "Watergate is the biggest political scandal of my lifetime, until maybe now. It was the closest we came to a debilitating Constitutional crisis, until maybe now. On a 10 scale of armageddon for our form of government, I would put Watergate at a 9. This Russia scandal is currently somewhere around a 5 or 6, in my opinion, but it is cascading in intensity seemingly by the hour. And we may look back and see, in the end, that it is at least as big as Watergate. It may become the measure by which all future scandals are judged. It has all the necessary ingredients, and that is chilling."

James Devinne writes for Occupy Democrats: "In viral tweet, Michael Moore just called for L'Orange's arrest over treason with Putin." And: "After last night’s surprise resignation by National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, Democrats are demanding a full-scale investigation to determine just how deep the collusion between L'Orange and the Kremlin. Now, award-winning filmmaker and liberal icon Michael Moore is calling for L'Orange to be arrested. 'Flynn DID NOT make that Russian call on his own,' he tweeted last night. 'He was INSTRUCTED to do so. He was TOLD to reassure them. Arrest L'Orange.'”

James Devinne writes for Occupy Democrats: "The Office of Government Ethics just ruined K.A. Conwoman's week." And: "L'Orange's top counsel K.A. Conwoman, the infamous preacher of alternative facts, has run up against a quite damning actual fact: she violated the government’s standards of conduct in using a White House press conference to promote L'Orange's daughter Iwanta's fashion line. And now Walter Schaub, the director of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), has penned a letter calling for a White House investigation into her unethical behavior and for serious disciplinary action to be taken."

Dan Arel writes for Occupy Democrats: "Lindsey Graham just said what we are all thinking about L'Orange and Flynn." And: "Senator Lindsay Graham, along with the majority of the American people, wants to know if anyone on Overlord L'Orange's transition team 'directed' former national security adviser Michael Flynn to discuss sanctions against Russia. Flynn illegally spoke with a top Russian diplomat during the L'Orange transition, and this could be a sign of a far reaching problem in the L'Orange White House."

“'I want to know, did General Flynn do this by himself or was he directed by somebody to do it?'” Graham said in an interview with CNN’s Kate Bolduan."

Colin Taylor writes for Occupy Democrats: "L'Orange's press secretary just admitted L'Orange lied to the public about Flynn and Russia." And: "During the daily press briefing today, Press Secretary Sean Spicer admitted that the L'Orange White House was aware that National Security Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn had lied to the Vice President about the subject of his calls with the Russian Ambassador for 'weeks' – which means that Trump himself had also openly lied to the American people."

Christine Branch writes for Occupy Democrats: "These four top Senate Republicans just turned on L'Orange, demand investigation into L'Orange-Putin links." And: "The Senate Intelligence Committee is finally acknowledging that the shady connections between L'Orange and Russia must be investigated further, especially as L'Orange's national security advisor, Michael Flynn resigns in disgrace."

"The charge is being led by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) who told KRTS Radio that, “I think everybody needs that investigation to happen.” Blunt’s call for a full investigation and for Flynn to testify before Congress is being supported by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC).
